To provide you with intelligent information monitoring services and continuously improve, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you register and log in to Pingro using your Google account, we collect basic information provided by your Google account, including:

    • Your name
    • Your email address
    • Your profile picture URL (if set in your Google account)
    • A user unique identifier (ID) generated internally by our system
    • Your interface language preference
    • Your last login time
  • Monitoring Task Data: Information you provide or our system generates when you create and manage monitoring tasks:

    • Your original monitoring requirements
    • Core questions parsed by the system or modified by you
    • Monitoring conditions parsed by the system or modified by you
    • Monitoring event descriptions generated by the system
    • Check frequency and monitoring type you set
    • Custom notification text generation instructions you may provide
  • Monitoring Results and Historical Data: Data acquired and generated by Pingro for executing monitoring tasks:

    • Answer text and possible citation sources obtained from the web or AI during each check
    • Change analysis results generated by AI comparison, including judgments on whether changes are significant and whether notifications should be triggered
    • Historical context summaries used to optimize subsequent comparisons
    • Query history records associated with monitoring tasks
  • Usage Information: Data related to your service usage:

    • Total number of monitoring tasks you currently own
    • Estimated daily queries calculated by the system based on your monitoring frequency settings, used to implement usage limits
    • Total number of queries executed for each monitoring item
  • Technical and Log Information:

    • Cookies: We use necessary cookies to maintain your login status (session cookies, managed by NextAuth.js) and remember your language preferences. These cookies are essential for the normal operation of the Pingro service.
    • Website Analytics: We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect anonymous website visit data (such as page views, traffic sources, device types, etc.) to help us understand how users use Pingro and improve the service. This information is aggregated and does not identify specific individuals.
    • Server Logs: Our hosting platform (Vercel) may automatically record standard server log information (such as IP addresses, access times, browser types, etc.), primarily used to maintain service security, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only within necessary and lawful scope, mainly for the following purposes:

  • Providing and Maintaining Services: Running your monitoring tasks, obtaining information, performing intelligent analysis, storing historical results, and triggering checks as configured.
  • User Authentication and Account Management: Verifying your identity, securing your account, and managing your user settings.
  • Personalized User Experience: Displaying the interface language according to your language preference.
  • Communication and Notification: Sending reminder emails to your provided email address (via Resend service) when your monitoring tasks meet notification conditions.
  • Usage Management and Limitations: Calculating and tracking your estimated daily queries to ensure fair use of service resources and implement corresponding usage limitation policies.
  • Service Improvement and Problem Diagnosis: Understanding user behavior through anonymous website analytics data to optimize product design and functionality; using log information for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Background Task Scheduling: Using Upstash QStash service to schedule and reliably execute timed monitoring check tasks.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: We may need to process your information when required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

3. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We are committed to not selling your personal information to any third parties. We only share necessary information in the following circumstances or with the following trusted third-party service providers to support the operation of Pingro services:

  • Google: Used for user authentication during registration and login. We only obtain basic account information that you authorize. You can review Google's Privacy Policy.
  • AI Service Providers (such as Perplexity, Google Gemini):
    • We send data required for executing AI tasks (such as core questions, monitoring conditions, historical context summaries, custom notification generation instructions, etc.) to the AI service provider you choose or the system configures, to fulfill core functions like requirement parsing, obtaining answers, and analyzing changes.
    • We do not send your personal identity information (such as name, email) to AI service providers for these core task processing.
    • We rely on these AI service providers' own privacy and security measures to protect transmitted data. We recommend reviewing the relevant privacy policies and data usage terms of Perplexity and Google. We utilize configuration options provided by providers to limit data being used for model training (if options are available).
  • Upstash (QStash): Used for reliably scheduling and executing background monitoring tasks. We pass necessary information such as task identifiers to QStash. Please review Upstash's Privacy Policy.
  • Neon: As our database hosting service, stores all core data of Pingro (including user information, monitoring task data, historical records, etc.). Please review Neon's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: Used for sending email notifications. We pass your email address and notification content to Resend. Please review Resend's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel: As our application hosting and website analytics service provider. Please review Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by laws, regulations, court orders, or government agencies, we may need to disclose your information. We will make efforts to notify you to the extent permitted by law.

Other than the above circumstances, we will not share your personal identity information with any other third parties without your explicit consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Storage: Your data is stored in a Postgres database provided by Neon, located in secure data centers.
  • Security Measures: We adopt industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including using HTTPS for data transmission encryption. We rely on the security infrastructure and practices provided by our third-party service providers (such as Neon, Vercel, NextAuth.js).
  • User Responsibility: Protecting your Google account credentials is essential for maintaining the security of your Pingro account.
  • Security Statement: Although we strive to protect your information security, no system is absolutely secure. We cannot guarantee that data will not be leaked due to accidental or unauthorized access.
  • Data Retention: We will retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as necessary to provide you services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete a monitoring item, its associated query history records are also deleted. If you delete your entire account (if such functionality is provided), all your data will be deleted or anonymized according to established procedures.

5. Your Data Rights

According to applicable data protection laws, you may have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: You can view your monitoring tasks, partial history records, and account information by visiting Pingro's dashboard (/dashboard) and settings page (/settings).
  • Right of Rectification: You can edit your monitoring task settings at any time. If your account information (such as name, profile picture, sourced from Google) is inaccurate, please update it in your Google account.
  • Right of Deletion: You can delete individual monitoring items and their associated history records. You can also delete all your monitoring tasks. For specific operations regarding completely deleting your Pingro account and all data, please contact us (see below).
  • Preference Management: You can change your interface language preference through the language switcher at the top of the interface.

6. Cookie Policy

As stated in Section 1, we use necessary cookies to ensure core functionalities of the service, such as authentication and language preference settings. We may also use anonymous analytical cookies through Vercel Web Analytics to improve the service. Most browsers allow you to manage cookie settings, but disabling necessary cookies may affect your use of the Pingro service.

7. Children's Privacy

Pingro services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users in this age group. If we discover that we have collected personal information from children, we will take measures to delete it as quickly as possible.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our service practices or legal requirements. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the website or (where appropriate) sending you an email. We recommend that you regularly review this policy to stay informed of the latest information. The "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy indicates when it was last revised.
